Georgia DDS Practice Test

At an uncontrolled intersection in Georgia, the vehicle on the right has the right of way. This rule is crucial for maintaining order and safety on the road, as it helps determine which driver should yield when two vehicles arrive at an intersection simultaneously without any traffic signals or signs to govern right of way.

When approaching an uncontrolled intersection, drivers are expected to pay close attention to their surroundings and be prepared to yield to other vehicles. By giving the right of way to the vehicle on the right, it creates a predictable flow of traffic and reduces the likelihood of collisions.

The reasoning behind this rule is based on the principles of traffic safety, which emphasize predictability and established guidelines to help drivers navigate intersections without confusion. Understanding and adhering to this rule is vital for all drivers, as it ultimately contributes to safer roads for everyone.
